The President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, called for the United States to deploy nuclear weapons in his country, stating this on Thursday. The statement was made during the elections in Poland, where Duda is running for a second term.
"I asked the President of the United States about the deployment of nuclear weapons in Poland," Duda told journalists. "I am confident that this makes our country safer and significantly contributes to deterrence," he added.
