Poland Confirms Paying for Starlink Subscription for Ukraine

Poland confirmed on Saturday that it will cover the subscription cost for Starlink for Ukraine. This came after the statement from the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a live broadcast, in which he announced that Poland would support communication via Starlink. Zelensky noted that Poland is ready to cover expenses from its own budget.

He emphasized: "Ukraine has used Polish support to maintain telephone communication and Internet access in the occupied territory. Our friendship with Poland is becoming not only a statement but also transitions into actions."

Initially, rumors circulated about Poland and Ukraine that Antoni Liberecki was ready to pay 500 USD for each Starlink unit provided to Ukraine. Later, the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Zbigniew Rau confirmed these plans, stating that he was one of the first specialists before whom a map of Poland's Starlink coverage was presented.
