The desire to adore the Most Holy Sacrament and to love the Eucharist grew in me, granted by John Paul II, a great mystery difficult to explain in words, but possible for God. His Holiness proclaimed Saints Cyril and Methodius co-patrons of Europe, along with Saint Benedict, recalling their invaluable contribution to the announcement of the Gospel and to reconciliation. This act manifests motherhood according to the spirit, a special characteristic of John Paul II.

The deepening of theology and Marian devotion, in continuity with the Catholic tradition, marked the person and pontificate of the Holy Father. A man of forgiveness and an apostle of reconciliation, he suffered an assassination attempt in 1981 that many young people are unaware of. Throughout his encyclical, he presented an ethical horizon in connection with the truth about man for his full development in response to the divine plan.

On the twentieth anniversary of his election to the Papal See, Pope John Paul II presented his thirteenth encyclical, "Fides et ratio." Anticipating the third millennium, he invited Christendom to prepare for a great celebration and commemoration, dedicating three years to reflection on each divine person of the Most Holy Trinity. His daily struggle reflected his desire to live in faith and to lovingly accept the will of the Father.

At Easter 2005, I wished to see the Holy Father on television, sensing it would be the last time. Through his election and willingness to develop the legacy left by Popes John XXIII and Paul VI, he demonstrated his deep commitment to the Church. He directed the spiritual exercises for His Holiness Paul VI, highlighting his pastoral work marked by concern and care for priestly vocations.

On April 2, 2005, John Paul II was born to the Kingdom of God, initiating his cause for beatification. On the second Sunday of Easter in 2011, on the Feast of Divine Mercy, he was beatified by Benedict XVI. This historic event central to humanity celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of the Father, in fulfillment of the promise made to Abraham and remembered by the prophets.
